When did it start?
It seems like forever. We had multiple businesses many years ago, and now we have settled on Towing. It’s been a few years that we have supported all the motorists in Las Vegas, Henderson and other parts of Nevada.
What was it that made you want to start this business?
It was a breakdown of our own. Something stupid and we found ourselves stranded. If anyone has to call a tow truck, it means they are really in trouble. My family and I hated the experience, and we pretty much decided to help everyone else out. If your vehicle doesn’t need towing, we try to fix it there and then. Either way, you’re in safe hands.
What was the toughest thing you went through when opening?
Purchasing a tow truck and having to pay for it with no confirmation of customers. That was pretty scary in the beginning. I would say thank the Lord for the Las Vegas climate for bringing customers with breakdowns, but I never wish that on anyone.
If you had to start over from day 1 what would you have done differently?
I would have started with the towing business much earlier than trying other companies which seemed a good idea. This business is much more rewarding and very rarely the same each day.
What is the toughest part about having a business in 2017?
Any good idea gets copied. You find so much new competition from people who see an idea as a way to make money rather than offering a service. These are what we continually struggle to match and its heart wrenching when you know not everyone is getting the service they deserve when they have a breakdown.
If a customer was to choose between your business and 3 others just like it why would you suggest they at least give you a try first?
We have spent years building ourselves up to be one of the most prestigious tow truck companies in Las Vegas. If you want a friendly and efficient service, no one has anything to lose by giving us a call. I can hand on heart say we offer the best service for some of the most affordable rates around.
What is the number 1 way you currently bring in new customers?
We make sure customers know we are around. We do a lot of promotion away from the internet. Any shows which are on or dealerships of vehicles or parts, we make sure they all have our number to hand to people who might need us. We also get a bit of business from one of the best mobile mechanic companies in Vegas, so they spread the word as we do about them.
Has the Internet played a big role in your business as it has become more prevalent?
Anyone who doesn’t advertise on the internet is foolhardy. Even if it is a free listing. It’s the only way that people are going to know you exist. Even then you can quickly get swamped in a sea of other companies.
If you had to look 6 months to a year into the future where would you like to see your business be?
We only want to be as successful as we already are. If we’re going to be anywhere else, it would be more efficient. If we can do this we can continue to give the same great rates and service we do now. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters.
Breakdowns are a nightmare, we’ve been there and done it and bought the t-shirt. We just want to make sure anyone in the same situation is looked after.
